Reference
Install Buffaly locally.
Choose the package for your operating system. Windows uses the MSI installer. Linux uses a script-first tarball from GitHub Releases. Mac uses an Apple Silicon prerelease tarball from the mac-latest release tag.
Watch the Windows setup video.
This walkthrough shows the default local install path: use the packaged Windows installer, launch Buffaly locally, and connect your model credentials before running agent tasks.
Windows
Use the MSI installer for the default local Windows setup, launcher, provisioning flow, and bundled runtime components.
Linux
Use the GitHub Release tarball for a script-first install. Linux defaults to no-auth, uses external SQL Server, and is operated through shell scripts for install, launch, validation, update, and diagnostics.
Mac
Use the Apple Silicon prerelease tarball from the mac-latest GitHub release tag, then follow the Mac guide to connect PostgreSQL or external SQL Server.
Download source of truth
Public installer artifacts are published through the Buffaly installer GitHub Releases page. Use the release page for Windows, Linux, Mac, checksums, and release notes.
Release status
Windows

Linux
Script-first MVP. Use the release page until direct latest tarball aliases are available.
Mac
Planned. Do not use Linux packages on Mac.
